The aluminum Abtech Fall Arrest Tripod Round Leg tripod is a sturdy yet lightweight unit that can be used with various winches or fall-arrest blocks. It is also designed to fold down into a compact unit for transportation.

For tripod stability, the tripod legs may be individually adjusted (height range from 1.7m to 2.4m). For extra stability lanyards may be attached to the feet and pinned to the floor; anchor lines may be attached to the eye-bolts on the tripod head. The height of the tripod enables a casualty on a stretcher raised vertically to be lifted clear of the entrance.

Fall arrest tripods work in conjunction with other components, one cannot be used without the other. The Abtech Fall Arrest Tripod when combined with a fall arrest block or a winch allows for the safe entry/exit of a confined space.
