Radiodetection gCAT4+ Cable Avoidance Tool

The gCAT4+ is the latest in the CAT4 series of cable avoidance equipment from Radiodetection. Building on the functionality of the eCAT4+, the gCAT4+ adds features such as SWING Warning, GPS tracking and depth estimation.

The CAT4 series of cable avoidance tools from Radiodetection is designed to find buried utilities faster. With the gCAT4+ the user has the ability to detect radio, power and Genny signals in a single scan and gauge their depth in the ground.

The gCAT4+ includes enough memory to store more than a year’s worth of measurements and operation modes,alongside the in-built GPS receiver which provides positional data logging to show exactly where the operator was working when the data was recorded. The information recorded can then be exported in CSV, XLS or KML file types and used with map services such as Google Earth.

For the ideal Cat and Genny pairing, pair the gCAT4+ with the Radiodetection Genny4 to enchance the cable location abilities of the gCAT4+ and work over increased distance and depth.
