Course Aims
This course focuses on planning, organizing and managing work safely in confined spaces including legislative roles and responsibilities, health and safety considerations and equipment requirements. Designed for managers that are responsible for organizing and planning work activities within a confined space. The manager may or may not supervise the actual job. The manager cannot enter the confined space.
- Planning the management of work in confined spaces.
- Managing confined space teams.
- Complete records and review legislation relation to confined spaces.
- The learner will develop, monitor and confirm procedures for working in confined spaces.
- An understanding of environmental, legislative and health and safety compliance.
- An understanding organisational requirements for confined space working.
- Plant, tools and equipment for working in confined spaces.
- Emergency arrangements and rescue plans.
- 6160-06 exam paper 3 HRS.
- Safe system of work pack (SSOW) to be developed around a live confined space.
- Live work assessment consisting of entry control documents and an audit. Professional statement (if required) can be used to fill in gaps in assessment areas.
