EUSR Excavation Rescue
This safety course introduces the learner to the theoretical and practical side of rescue from open excavations. The course has been designed to cover current legislation and guidance including the HSE’s L101 and the use of davit arm systems along with stretchers and harnesses. Learners will become familiarised with the component parts, assembly and use of davit arm systems on trench boxes and sheet piles.
- Identify current legislation and guidance in relation to working in confined spaces
- Duties of rescue
- Recognise potential weather hazards
- Be able to safely install, use and remove davit arm systems
- Practically utilise stretchers and harnesses as part of an excavation rescue
