CS3 - Introduction to Working as a Member of a Confined Space Rescue Team
Course Duration: 2 days - 16 guided learning hours. Course starts at 09:00, finishes around 17:00
Course Locations: Aberdeen, Glasgow, Middlesbrough, Castleford, Manchester, Wellingborough, Rainham, Heathrow, Southampton and Exeter.
ESS are also able to offer Nationwide onsite Training subject to availability and necessary approvals.
Course Aims
This course is designed to provide delegates that intend to work as part of a confined space rescue team with an introduction to planning and executing casualty rescue procedures and the equipment which may be required. This is intended for delegates who already hold a high risk (full Breathing apparatus) qualification such as our CS2.
Note: A pre-requisite qualification is required to complete this course. Delegates must hold a valid basic First Aid qualification and have completed an ESS CS2 course within 12 weeks.
- Pre-use checks and tests on all Equipment including PPE & RPE
- Establishing the nature of the emergency and requirement for entry
- Locating casualty and conducting First Aid primary survey
- Stabilizing and packaging casualty in preparation for extraction
- Recovery of casualty and preserving life until handover to paramedics
- Decontamination and preservation of evidence
- Reporting and documenting rescue activities
