The CPC 100 is built with high quality components and unmatched routine testing upon manufacturing, enabling the universal primary test set to perform to industry standards for users worldwide. The lightweight and compact design improves all transport, handling, and storage, weighing only 29kg.

The multi-functional CPC 100 is capable of testing several assets such as CT, VT, CB, and power transformers with ease, whilst maintaining the capability to test individual components of an asset. The Omicron CPC 100 provides powerful testing solutions up to 800 A or 2kV, with up to 5kVA over a frequency range of 15 Hz to 400 Hz or 400 A.

What is the purpose of an Omicron CPC 100?

What is primary injection testing?

Primary injection testing is the complete test for a circuit breaker. It verifies the entire protection chain in a circuit breaker. The current flows through the pole(s) of the circuit breaker, thus verifying the current-carrying path. The current sensors and wiring are checked. The trip unit logic is verified.

How often should circuit breakers be tested?

Circuit breakers should be routine trip tested every 3 to 5 years. Low-voltage circuit breakers should be inspected and maintained every 1 to 3 years.
