The Fluke 62 Max + non-contact Infrared thermometer. Able to measure the surface temperature without touching the object, making the Fluke 62 Max + a very useful tool when access to the target is in a position which is difficult to reach and therefore negates the use of a standard probe thermometer.
The most basic design concept of an infrared (IR) thermometer consists of a lens to focus energy on to a detector, which converts the energy to an electrical signal that can be displayed in units of temperature after being compensated for ambient temperature variation. The Fluke 62 Max + utilises this technology to give the engineer an excellent instrument to measure the temperature of an object
