Picoup 250 Hydraulic Cable Spiker
The Fameca Picoup 250 has the ability to spike and cut LV and MV cables using a hydraulic spiker and cutting jaws and a remote controller that allows the operator to be up to 100m away from the cable. The remote Controller has alarm indication for sensor cutting failure, blade closure failure, hydraulic pressure monitoring and checking of cutting time.
A combined hydraulic cable spiker and cutter in one tool. The Picoup 250 can cut LV and MV cables up to 3c x 240mm2. With no hydraulic hoses required, the Picoup 250 is protected from hose puncture on rough terrain and can be operated remotely from a distance of over 100 metres. The Picoup 250 has remote built in alarm indicators for sensor cutting failure, blade closure failure, hydraulic pressure failure and cutting time check. Battery operated for full portability with a Transit case complete with wheels to assist with carriage to and from the site. Supplied with an earth ground cable and stake to ensure the unit is grounded during the spiking and cutting function. The cutting blades reopen using double acting hydraulic force to prevent jamming.
