The Bowthorpe Hydraulic Cable Spiker is a robust safety device designed to confirm that a previously isolated cable is de-energized before commencing site work, jointing, or termination. This tool is essential for ensuring safety during cable maintenance and repair tasks.
Featuring a hand-operated hydraulic pump connected to a fully insulated 6-meter hose, the spiker delivers a silent operation, eliminating the need for explosive cartridges. It accommodates cables up to 102mm in diameter, making it versatile for various applications.
The spiking kit includes an independent 6-meter earth cable with appropriate connecting lugs, ensuring comprehensive safety during operation. Regular maintenance is recommended to keep the tool in optimal condition.
Please note, the Bowthorpe Cable Spiker is not suitable for cables above 11kV, as such cables may exceed the mechanical capabilities of the cutting blade.
