Making it Happen - ESS makes the news following Facebook Campaign

ESS helps out with radios for critical care nurses at Kettering General Hospital following an appeal for baby monitors to help with communications at local hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Making it Happen - ESS makes the news following Facebook Campaign

After seeing an appeal for baby monitors to be used at hospitals during the coronavirus pandemic, Corrina Baxter from ESS in Wellingborough contacted her boss to see if they could help.

Corrina said: "I saw a post on Facebook on Sunday night asking for baby monitors for communication within the hospital.

"I emailed my director and 48 hours later along with some sweet treats for the staff, we delivered free of charge."

A post by ESS Safeforce said: "So proud to be able to assist the dedicated hardworking NHS teams, in this instance we were able to quickly donate the supply of Motorola DP4400 radios to Kettering General Hospital.

"These radios are to be used by the critical care nurses in ICU to help them call for essential goods and medication so they do not spend valuable time removing and putting on their PPE each time they need to get items."

Corrina is based in the Wellingborough office on the Finedon Road industrial estate but currently working from home.

She said the goods were prepared and tested via their West Bromwich office before being driven down for the NHS to have a handover with the Wellingborough office.

Corrina said it was a 'real team effort' and added: "Makes me proud to work for such a company."

Well done Corrina.
