ESS Delivers CPD Rescue Training Course for Lanes group at Wellingborough Branch

CPD Training On September 16th 2024 ESS Training delivered a CPD Recue Training Course at ESS Wellingborough.
Lanes Group operate internal Confined Space Rescue Teams to support all High Risk entries mainly complex trunk sewer works.

All team members receive the City & Guilds 6160-08 Confined Space Rescue training delivered by ESS Training, however their management team had concerns regarding skill fade in the 3 years between qualification renewals. ESS had been approached by Lanes Group to develop a CPD programme involving a 6 monthly refresher day for Confined Space Rescue. Working closely with the management team and engineers from Lanes, ESS produced a tailored CPD Rescue course.

The first CPD Event was conducted in Wellingborough on September 16th 2024.

The event commenced with an overview of regulatory requirements for Confined Space emergency planning, a recap of basic First Aid principles (eg: Primary Survey), rescue planning and a variety of practical rescue scenarios designed to test the teams skills. At the end of the event, the participants are provided with constructive feedback so both they and their employer can work to support areas identified for development.
This was very well received by all participants and supported by positive feedback with commitment from Lanes Group for additional courses requirement commencing immediately.

All elements of the CPD Rescue course delivered are recordable CPD Events, these include;

  • Roles and responsibilities of Rescuers and Team leaders
