Omicron Franeo 800

Overview

Prevent failures before they occur with Omicrons Franeo 800 power transformer tester, this responsive and efficient device provides essential mechanical and electrical testing applications. Predominately used to test the integrity of power transformers windings, contacts, or cores after exposure to high fault currents, transport, or seismic activities.

The Omicron Franeo 800 uses the Sweep Frequency Response Analysis (SFRA) principle to identify these common faults, performing measurements in a frequency domain. The device is a non-invasive tester that achieves a high signal-to-noise ratio due to tough resistance to broadband and narrowband noise. The SFRA being used exposes internal defects to improve reliability and avoid unexpected outages by detecting faults in the winding assembly, magnetic core, and the clamping structures of power transformers.
