Megger S1-568 5KV Insulation Tester
The Megger S1-568 HV Insulation Tester for all 5KV resistance and associated diagnostic tests on high voltage electrical equipment and cabling etc. Designed for use in harsh electrical noise environments and on applications where long cable runs may be encountered.
With a 6mA output the S1-568 is more than capable of dealing with capacitive loads. With high electrical noise immunity of 8mA and additional four filters, the S1-568 can cope with testing in difficult substation and transmission voltage systems
The S1-568 5KV HV Insulation Tester is an excellent addition to the Megger HV Insulation range. Insulation testing of equipment up to 5KV, tests for PI, DAR, DD, SV, Timed IR and Ramp, the S1-568 has the additional PI Predictor (PIp) feature. Carrying out a Polarisation Index test can take some time. With the PI Predictor function (PIp) the test time can be halved.
The S1-568 has a current output of 6mA allowing capacitive loads to be tested quicker and with an 8mA noise immunity the unit is stable in EHV Environments. Four additional filters enhance the noise rejection capability. A Measurement range of up to 15TΩ is standard on the Megger S1-568. Long cable runs can be tested and the tester will perform well in the harshest of substation environments.
The S1-568 has on-board USB connection with advanced memory storage including time/date stamping of results, logging of data and recall of results to screen. A fully isolated USB interface or on-board Bluetooth® interface is used for safe transfer of data to Megger’s asset management software; PowerDB Pro, Advanced or Lite packages. The S1-568 can also be operated remotely using the USB and Power DB Lite software
