Overview

The Omicron CT Analyser or (Omicron CT Analyzer) is a unique, lightweight instrument that is designed to meet the highest standards of performing excitation, ratio, polarity and winding resistance tests on current transformers (CT's) as well as burden-impedance measurement.

This instrument delivers a unique capability for the fast comprehensive testing and calibration of current transformers for protection and metering engineers as well as CT and switchgear manufacturers.

How does the Omicron CT Analyser Work?

The CT Analyser automatically computes all critical current transformer values and compares the results to the selected standard. The device rapidly analyses the current transformer in compliance with the IEC or IEEE standard with the press of a button.

What is CT ratio and how is it calculated?

The description that is best suited to the CT ratio is the primary current input to the secondary current output at full load. To calculate the Current Transformer (CT) ratio, simply divide the primary transformer current by the secondary transformer current.
