A compact and robust DC tester for vacuum interrupters, the Megger VIDAR delivers fast, clear pass/fail results, with full compliance to IEC and ANSI/IEEE standards.

The Megger VIDAR is a high-grade diagnostic instrument designed to test vacuum interrupters without needing to dismantle the breaker assembly. With selectable DC test voltages from 10 to 60 kV (one preset at order), it offers fast, reliable integrity checks via immediate red/green LED feedback. Its compact 7 kg frame, two-hand activation and high-voltage warning lamp ensure both portability and operator safety.
The VIDAR supports field inspections, factory commissioning, routine maintenance, and confined-space operations.
Electrical utilities maintenance crews can effortlessly test multiple breakers across transformer substations in a day. A larger contractor in rail or power sectors can ensure compliance during commissioning or scheduled shutdowns.
