The Katronic KF210 Ultrasonic flowmeter is capable of measuring the flow of liquids in a variety of pipe sizes and pipe materials. A built in library of liquids and pipe materials enable the use of the instrument in countless applications. Ultrasonic sensors mean there is no invasion into the pipe to enable a flow to be measured. A 7 day battery life means data logging can take place over a reasonable amount of time between charges
The Katronic KF210 Ultrasonic flowmeter uses the transit time technique to measure the flow of liquids in full pipes. The transit time technique makes use of the difference in time it takes for a signal to be detected in one direction (direction of flow) and the time it takes for a signal to be detected for the liquid flowing in the opposite direction (against the flow). The difference in the transit times of these two signals is proportionate to the flow velocity of the liquid and therefore the flow rate can be measured. Other parameters are used in the final calculation within the electronics, such as flow profile, liquid being measured, pipe material etc. All these elements are taken into consideration to provide an accurate reading of flows in a variety of engineering units from simple flow velocity to volumetric flow or totalised flow. The Katronic KF210 is housed in an IP 67 Rated enclosure and is fully portable for installation in variety of locations and harsh weather conditions. With an on-board data logging capacity for over 30,000 measurements and 4-20mA output, the Katronic KF210 is an extremely flexible and multitasking flowmeter
