With HML or octave band 1:1 methods built in, it can also be used to aid hearing protection selection. The Optimus Red will measure and record all sound level parameters simultaneously. The Optimus Red can also be used as a basic sound level meter for instant reading of noise levels in environments where noise is considered an issue. With its single 20 - 140dB range there is no need to set the Optimus Red for a specific span. Data is stored in the 4 gig memory for download to the free issue NoiseTools software supplied
