Leica CS20 Field Controller

Leica Captivate is survey field software which has been designed to make field operations simple and streamlined through easy-to-use applications and precise models in both 2D and 3D. Leica Captivate can be used alongside a number of Leica products such as total stations and GNSS systems, making data creation and understanding more efficient than ever and encouraging collaboration by supporting industry standard formats and data sharing via the cloud.  

The latest updates of the Leica Captivate software can be downloaded directly from the Leica myWorld portal. Once you have downloaded the latest version of the software, remove the SD card from your CS20 controller and insert into your PC. Copy across the latest version of the software to the SD card and insert it into the CS20. 
When you boot up the CS20 go to Settings/Tools/Update Software and find the file name of the latest update from your SD card. Tick the box on the legal agreement and then clock OK. 
A message will show stating that the process will take a few minutes and may power off/on. Click ‘Yes’ and the CS20 will begin installing the update. 
Leave the CS20 controller to install the update, this may take up to 20 minutes. The device willpower back on once the update has been fully installed and it will be ready to use. 

Yes, you can hire the CS20 directly from ESS, either on its own to use with your own total station or GNSS system or you can hire both together from us. We offer fully flexible hire periods to suit you, from as little as one week up to years.

Yes, we offer a full servicing and calibration service from our Leica-certified workshops. Our technicians will ensure your CS20 Controller works as if it is brand new out of the box.
