The Athena Lighter systems are wireless radio communication headsets, designed specifically for rail applications.
The Apollo systems provide safe and reliable communications through back-to-back radio connection, whilst maintaining spatial awareness simultaneously. The Network Rail approved communications device can be used in all-weather environments with an IP66 rating, equipped with a full charged battery life of 24 hours.
DBD Communication’s Athena Lighter includes a right ear dome speaker, whilst the left ear dome is hollowed to supply operators with situation and spatial awareness. Users communicate with the built in adjustable fist microphone, allowing operators to be heard clearly. The Athena Lighter system can be identified with a yellow tag on the microphone arm. All controls are operated from the right ear dome.
