Basic Awareness of First Aid in the Workplace
In the "Basic Awareness of First Aid in the Workplace" course learners will gain basic knowledge and understanding of First Aid requirements in the workplace. By the end of the course, learners will have a basic understanding of the key steps for assessing casualties, identifying dangers and responding to common workplace incidents. This course does NOT provide a First Aid certification, it is intended purely for awareness or a pre-requisite before a First Aid course.
Course Overview
- To enable learners to assess an incident and ensure safety.
- To understand the delivery of CPR and AED applications
- To understand common injuries such as bleeding, burns, and fractures.
- To understand medical emergencies like choking, shock, seizures, or allergic reactions.
- To ensure learners understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
