The Omicron CMC500 Relay Test Set is a versatile protection relay testing and commissioning solution developed for utilities, power generation facilities, industrial plants and electrical engineering contractors. Designed to support modern protection schemes, the CMC500 enables efficient testing of electromechanical relays, numerical relays, IEC 61850 IEDs and complete protection systems. Supported by OMICRON's extensive software ecosystem, it delivers both parameter-based and system-based testing capabilities.
With flexible configurations offering up to seven voltage outputs and ten current outputs, the CMC500 is suitable for a wide range of protection applications, from overcurrent and distance protection through to transformer, differential and feeder protection schemes. Single-phase current injection capability of up to 450A allows end-to-end testing and primary signal path verification. The platform supports IEC 61850 communication protocols including GOOSE, R-GOOSE, MMS and Sampled Values, making it ideal for conventional, hybrid and fully digital substations.
