SEBA HL 7000 Water Leak Detector
When water escapes from a leaking pipe a noise will be generated, which, with the right equipment can be picked up to locate the position of a leak. Detecting and listening for the noise is the method used by the SEBA HL 7000 to do exactly that.
Pin-point the source of a leak quickly and efficiently using the SEBA HL 7000 Leak Detector, without the need to dig up large areas of ground and therefore reduce the amount of work required to reveal and repair the problem. Escaping water from a damaged pipe emits two types of noise. The HL 7000 makes these noises visible and audible for the operator. Escaping water will generate a pressure wave, and the HL 7000 detects the wave as a leakage noise. The audible noise will be transmitted to the headphones of the HL 7000 as well as being displayed on the units touch screen display. The HL 7000 utilises a wind-protected piezo-electric sensitive ground microphone which can pick up very low frequencies on softer pipe materials such as PVC, and high frequencies generated on steel or cast pipes. Adaptors are included to enable the operator to look for leaks on paved or unpaved areas. The system is totally wireless due to the Bluetooth® connectivity
