Mexe Cone Penetrometer

The LabQuip Soil Assessment Cone Penetrometer (MEXE Probe) is a lightweight instrument for rapidly measuring in-depth resistance to penetration. The measurement is indicated with a dial and represented in terms of the California Bearing Ratio (CBR). Best used in non-gravelly soil without stones or obstacles which would make it difficult to penetrate the soil. With a maximum penetration rang of 600mm, the Mexe Cone Penetrometer has markings at every 75mm for obtaining a resistance profile across the depth of the soil.
